Crete

Sissi 99
After a swing through Spain, Madrid and Basque Country, a plane flight and overnight ferry, I’m in Greece. I’ll spend spring on the island of Crete, site of the Bronze Age Minoan civilization; the Mary Stewart mystery story, The Moonspinners; the 1964 drama film Zorba the Greek. Again I take my morning walk along the Mediterranean Sea. The air is sweet  and fresh, with a little extra spice from the herbs growing wild everywhere: rosemary, thyme, mint…sometimes I catch a whiff of fennel.Looking forward to Greek music and wine, delicious food, lots of sun.

Here I will discover my inner goddess: am I Artemis, Athena, Hestia, Hera, Demeter, Persephone or Aphrodite?
